I’m currently reading “The Circle Maker” by Mark Batterson in which he asks the question “How BIG is your God?”. The book looks at our everyday prayer life and challenges us to PRAY BIG because we serve an even BIGGER GOD.
In fact, he states that the size of our prayer demonstrates our view of God. If we PRAY BIG, we believe in a BIG GOD, if we pray small… well, you get the idea. The thought behind every thing is that “God honors BOLD prayers because BOLD prayers honor God.” So, what is your view of God? What is your prayer life like? What are you actively “circling” in prayer?
I want to share with you ONE BIG CIRCLE that we are praying for as we look for a place to meet in Monticello, NY. We are praying a BOLD CIRCLE around the old Broadway Theatre located in the heart of the village. This building was once a vivid part of the community. The theatre is a little over 10,000 square feet and was able to hold 1,000 people in it’s auditorium.
Our vision for this building is to RESTORE it back into an active building within the community. A place where Restoration Church could hold weekly services and a place we could use to give back to the community.
It’s going to take a miracle to make this happen. A lot of money would need to be raised and an even more amount of work would need to be done! Realistically it doesn’t make sense, but this is where we have drawn our circle. We are praying for this building. We are praying for this community.
Mark this down: On Monday, September 15, 2014 we have publicly declared that we are praying for Broadway Theatre in Monticello. I am personally looking forward to see how God answers this prayer, knowing that it’s going to take a GOD-SIZED miracle to match this GOD-SIZED vision.
Will you please pray with us?
